Impressions of Edits on TikTok, the Force Notwithstanding

While not spending much time on social media, there are days when I enjoy watching YouTube videos from the channel called The Quartering, that are usually over ten minutes long each and which seem to be pretty successful for the content creator doing that channel, whose name is Jeremy. Some of his insights into what it’s like it being a successful YouTube are interesting for me. Despite an almost-total detox from YouTube I did for the entire month of February, I found some pleasure once again in experiencing videos done on channels I often watch.

The Quartering’s Jeremy gets outspoken about his bad experiences on YouTube, and yesterday he actually said over on Twitter that he’s done with struggling with the 280-character social media platform.

I enjoy many videos from The Quartering and I wasn’t aware until now that Jeremy of The Quartering was having a problem on Twitter. I haven’t had similar experiences with tweeting that have left me sour, I enjoy it.

IT is managing the utilization of PCs and broadcast communications to recover and store and transmit data.  Two months ago my mom showed off to me that the National Post contained a spread about TikTok, the social network for teens and twenty-somethings to post rapid-fire videos typically fifteen second long, often fairly big-budget affairs of professional dancers busting moves.

It seems to me now that ordinary users love TikTok for the freedom to show off their edits, whether true. I tend to suspect that the young take for granted, often enough, anyway, the same tools with which they have been shown how to use and for who it is second nature.  That stuff is noteworthy.

On YouTube, The Quartering is a built-up channel that finds news media about gaming.  It was with a lot of satisfaction, the other day, that The Quartering presented, with his usual aplomb, the news that PewDiePie commenced the decision to end his channel, subscribed to by ten million users.  Pretty astounding.

Over ten years, PewDiePie became simply a significant player. I am certain PewDiePie endeavoured to find the right pace while displaying a level of beauty that elegantly flaunted insight.  He liked to emphasize some of the best of meme culture on the Internet.

Nowadays, on TikTok, young people are using Lego to indicate “kid,” or, “Trekkie,” but most likely, “kid,” in the phenomenon.  For me, it’s a good indicator to move off, in a lot of cases, or rather not to click “like,” because of the Lego picture the TikTokker is showing off with.  I get disappointed by the weight Star Wars has.

While extremely strong on YouTube, I don’t see as many good edits of the sequel trilogy of Star Wars compared to other popular material.  On TikTok, I may be looking away so often that I am not seeing the best edits, but I don’t understand metrics on TikTok, other than that there are likes on relevant videos.  I think it is an enormous co-mingling of the best and the brightest.

I see huge amounts of cooperative TikTok and I see happiness and fulfilled videographers posting their two cents. I see negative sources on the Internet, but I try to maintain an unbiased perspective, as opposed to getting radicalized, as happens some of the time, about issues around which Internet clients typically assemble.

Don’t disregard taking a look, on the off chance that you are difficult to please.  You could find yourself awed.  Besides, you’re free here on WordPress to comment and also follow 🙂  I guess I prefer words, of a nature that a computer keyboard does indeed capitulate, but there is a lot of creativity on social media.

I started telephone sales work in the 2000s, but after the economy crashed, I started spinning my wheels. My family got involved when my dad, who during his career with the municipality managed a cemetery for many years, was able to swing a deal when he learned of a little cemetery that required better operations, in his opinion.

Why Starting to Discover TikTok is the Key to Hillary 2016

Social media – Statistics & Facts

 J. Clement, Sep 4, 2019 One of the defining phenomena of the present times reshaping the world as we know it, is the worldwide accessibility to the internet. The lovechild of the World Wide Web is social media, which comes in many forms, including blogs, forums, business networks, photo-sharing platforms, social gaming, microblogs, chat apps, and last but not least social networks. In 2019, the global social penetration rate reached 45 percent, with East Asia and North America both having the highest penetration rate at 70 percent, followed by Northern Europe at 67 percent.

I never like guarantees that web-based efficacy is a losing strategy. No, I don’t mean Marvel’s web-slinging hero, I mean laments that the Internet will fade away, with history.

I am part of my father’s business.  It isn’t modern showcasing.  We have a Facebook page with a few dozen individuals.  You can find Maple Lawn Cemetery on Facebook here: http://bitly.ws/7xKe

As luck would have it, my mom sent me an email this week with a connection to TikTok, which my sister and her significant other had got on. I hadn’t known both of them were utilizing TikTok.  My sister and her husband live in England;I figured she would like it that I pursued her on TikTok.

I do worry about privacy, which everybody should worry about, but it was clear from the first few videos I enjoyed that a new door had opened.  Could you call it the grassroots of the Internet?  I don’t know that is an exact description, yet that is the sort of impression I got from my first experiences with the app.

Remember when Cambridge Analytica was implicated in shady election returns in the race for the US Presidency?  Facebook accounts affected by Cambridge Analytica, the firm entrusted, were accused of enacting a naughty political plan.  When this came to light, it was a gigantic scandal.

Both a hit to the public impression of Facebook’s reliability and the validity of Donald Trump’s administration, I wonder today what was going on with TikTok four years ago.  It jumped out at me to check it out.

The initial release of TikTok, I read, was in September 2016.  TikTok is the Chinese application that was the most downloaded in the US, in October 2018, Wikipedia presently says.  —https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TikTok

Interested users downloaded TikTok more than 104 million times on Apple’s App store during the full first 50% of 2018, as indicated by information given to CNBC by Sensor Tower, situated in San Francisco.

TikTok outperformed Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram to turn into the world’s most downloaded iOS application for that timespan. Live-streaming was no longer the biggest thing going.  “The biggest trend in Chinese social media is dying, and another has already taken its place,” CNBC awkwardly said. –Tue, Sep 18 2018

TikTok surpassed Facebook, YouTube and Instagram to become the world’s most downloaded iOS app for that time, Sensor Tower data indicated. The Internet in China is altered, and it’s evident that there’s an issue of whether determined weights are adding to control at TikTok.  At the point when you take a gander at the truth that the Cambridge Analytica embarrassment started to require that web-based media be inspected and controlled, it makes sense that TikTok could by and by be under a similar kind or increasingly unavoidable restriction, superficially so that there aren’t issues similar to what happened at Facebook in 2016.

It’s clear that while on the surface TikTok is home to countless videos, it wouldn’t be shocking if governments unrooted censorship issues.  I think it would be awful if problems similar to the Cambridge Analytica meddling repeated themselves on TikTok or anywhere else, with such nefarious difficulties leading to the regulation of social media everywhere.

I am sure you know what a meme is, a kind of visual remix on the Internet, where one signifier is translated under a magnifying glass to mean something new and different.  Like Inspector Clouseau’s cartoon caricature in the introduction to many of the Pink Panther films, Peter Sellers chasing that elusive cat.

I had thought this year we might make it a norm to pursue goals of unity and brotherhood, while enjoying economic success; I mean a possibility for the same good fortune had social media never taken shape, as on platforms Myspace and Friendster, with a more level playing field.  If the decade ahead sees social media get dead and buried, that’s some of the best opportunities on the Internet falling by the wayside.

TikTok has altered my impression of Internet video beginning with a couple of them shot by my sister and her better half.

Why A Winter’s Night Will Change Your Life

The theatrical release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is two months away and today is Force Friday, a retail shopping day for Star Wars fans.

Dimensions: 1545 x 1024

The Rise of Skywalker is one of the biggest film releases of 2019, as you probably know. Movie director J. J. Abrams has returned, who in 2015 helmed Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Force Awakens resumes after the original trilogy in 1977, 1980, and 1983, and the Star Wars prequel trilogy, in 1999, 2002, and 2005.

While this is familiar film history, what’s striking is that the Disney company, which now owns the brand, is launching Disney+ in November, when Star Wars will again be newly available. Disney+ is an offering of classic animated features, as well as reboots and the Avengers franchise. Both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi were tremendous hits, but the box office failure of the expensive one-off Solo: A Star Wars Story diminished the profitability of the franchise for Disney, and the success of Disney+ would surely benefit from the continued success of Star Wars.

Disney+ will have much better chances of lasting if Star Wars is reinvigorated by another blockbuster film. There isn’t much question that Star Wars: The Last Jedi divided the fan base. Last Jedi director Rian Johnson dispelled some of the magic of Star Wars by reinventing Mark Hamill’s character of Luke as an old cynical hermit, rather than staying true to the bold Jedi warrior hero who defeats the Empire in Return of the Jedi.

Star Wars fans turned out for Mark Hamill’s reprise of Luke Skywalker after what happened in the original Star Wars trilogy, and instead, Luke in The Last Jedi nearly couldn’t be roused to continue the fight against the Dark Side of the Force.

YouTube’s Looper has tapped into a mega-spoiler: by their account, actor Harrison Ford has returned as Han Solo for a scene in The Rise of Skywalker. It’s understood that Ford had been reluctant to return to Star Wars without a movie script handling his character adequately, as the actor was absent from the cast of The Last Jedi.

There have been announcements about Star Wars that fans ate up. Prequels actor Ewan McGregor will be in the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, not for The Rise of Skywalker, but a Disney+ series picking up after the events of the prequels.

Disney has also announced that Kevin Feige will do a Star Wars film. Feige’s involvement is good news for people who believe in Star Wars, as the Avengers films largely speak for themselves in terms of popularity and quality. With the promise of a bang-on Star Wars film after the Skywalker Saga, there is more reason to believe that Star Wars will again succeed, and if it does, a future with Disney+ is all the more likely.

The other spoiler from Looper is that, contrary to expectations, at least expectations I had, the Force will redeem the character of Kylo Ren when he gives up his allegiance to the Dark Side. Based on the love-hate intensity of their relationship, I held the impression that in The Rise of Skywalker Rey will defeat Kylo Ren and destroy him. The trailer for The Rise of Skywalker seems clear that the final battle will be highly personal.

If instead Kylo Ren changes his allegiance, it will make for a different future in Star Wars. Although audiences believe that the Light Side of the Force triumphs in Return of the Jedi, this time, in 2019, it is possible to think, the Light Side will, at last, have victory.

If you have the opportunity to enjoy The Rise of Skywalker, I hope you have one of the best nights you have ever had in the company of Star Wars’ villains and heroes. It should be a wonderful occasion. I appreciate you very much thinking about it with me. Maybe I’ll see you again come wintertime as momentum for The Rise of Skywalker continues to build.

Mermaid’s March 2019 WordPress Tea Party

The Little Mermaid is a site which entertains bloggers who bring together their thoughts on a theme suggested by the moderator.  These tea parties, the setting for discussion, began several months ago. The Little Mermaid is on a new site now, found at https://www.thelittlemermaid.site/tag/tea-party  For the tea party, March’s theme is fashion.

Personally, I am fashion-challenged, by which I mean I haven’t let fashion out of my bag.  I don’t have a memorable sense of fashion.

Aiming to define fashion reminds me, for example, of an Internet dating profile, where a user is invited to assess his sense of fashion in a field drawn from a list of narrow but conventional approaches.

I wish I’d made the decision to dress better when I was younger.  If you don’t invest in yourself, how can you expect anyone else to?  In a media-hungry capitalist structure, it is important to be “cool” by wearing a wardrobe that both help you feel good about being seen in the street and identifies your lifestyle to people who speak with you.

I believe it’s important, and I would have liked to be more fashionable.

A rule for wear is that clothes must mostly fit.  This sounds obvious, but it isn’t necessarily easy to determine that clothes which cultivate a brand for you are far superior to dressing at random.

I am less interested in making an outfit look good than I am, I feel, non-discerning about social mores.  That’s how I haven’t let it out of my bag.

I do experience mild anxiety about looking shabby when I ought to be feeling fine, but something in my psychology prevents me from being able to coordinate a wardrobe.  That’s kind of funny, eh?

I hope you are not disappointed.  You are welcome to click “like,” to follow my blog, and/or to leave a comment.

The Little Mermaid’s tea parties provide inspiration and heighten my interest in others for who her tea parties are likewise attractive.

Brief tips for keeping up

Church at cemetery

I am updating this a year later–this is the early morning of August 12, 2018, and I published this post after curating it from something I did October 20, 2014.  I am the SMM and junior operations director for a small not-for-profit cemetery.  I have my hand in as a blogger to complement my research and social media skills.

We’re on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/LouthUnited

How is your content doing?  Are you keeping records?

There’s nothing intuitive about being outfitted for killer content.  It’s Internet 101.  There’s engagement and then there’s conversion.

  • Be relevant in a sprawling web environment

You won’t be able to see the horizon on the world wide web.  It goes on and on, and your time can disappear into it the way tree leaves lose their pigment and then fall.

I hope that you have a plan because goals are incredibly important.  You have an uphill battle to face already, and without clear goals for you to pursue, you are spinning your wheels and going nowhere.  I definitely wish I’d tackled it more systematically years ago.

Try challenging yourself by investigating new techniques for setting goals, and see what you can put into effect.  I realize this is advice for a beginner, but if you are new and you read this, please understand that I am doing my best to run over some basic tips that you can put into practice for yourself.

You can prioritize what you want to achieve if you put some planning into what you are about. If you have the spontaneity and creative mindset to be headstrong, I’m sure that’s ok. If you are overwhelmed, and you could be, you need to throw down some controls on what you are doing.

  • Read success stories and compare them to yourself

The world wide web is cool, so don’t fret.  You do need a plan of attack.

Organize your efforts so that they resemble the kind of list in which you might write what groceries you want to buy.  It’s a start!

Don’t dismiss the inspiration you find by learning about what people who are achievers did to get where they are today.  Above all else, there are plenty of people with good intentions to who you can reach out on your journey across the Internet.

  • Find release in a second hobby

The world wide web has a lot to offer, but you probably need a second hobby if you’re feeling troubled.  Something that you can do in the outdoors might be good, to keep your mind active on more than one front (on more than just your life computing).

Maybe you should be writing offline, to keep your engine fresh.  Reading real-world books is a good idea, especially if you can learn something from them.  That’s a concrete example of how and when doors will open for you.

Speaking of the real world, interaction outside the digital corridors of the Internet has its place for you, distinctly.  Don’t go too far afield by forgetting what’s out there physically.

Are you struggling with your brand identity?  Leave a comment for me if you think of something I strongly need to see.  I’m curating this based on a blog post I did the twentieth of October, 2014, which rather needed an update.

I wouldn’t mind hearing of others’ efforts as you keep on descending into the backwaters of the Internet.  I know readers may be reluctant to comment, but you’re very welcome to note here where your online journey has taken you.  And if you do relate, and in fact have found help.

You can “like” and/or “follow” as well.  Thanks!
